Memorize Surah Al-'Asr with your childبِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لَفِى خُسْرٍ ٢
inna l-insāna lafī khus'r
Indeed, mankind is in loss,
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ ٣
illā alladhīna āmanū waʿamilū l-ṣāliḥāti watawāṣaw bil-ḥaqi watawāṣaw bil-ṣabr
Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.
Memorize it with your child in Qurrah
In Qurrah, your child memorizes the surah step by step:
- They listen to the ayah from the teaching sheikh.
- They repeat it with him two or three times.
- They recite it from memory and record their voice for a parent to hear.
- It comes back in review until it sticks.
