QurrahSurah Ali 'Imran, Ayah 96 (3:96)
إِنَّ أَوَّلَ بَيْتٍ وُضِعَ لِلنَّاسِ لَلَّذِى بِبَكَّةَ مُبَارَكًا وَهُدًى لِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ٩٦
inna awwala baytin wuḍiʿa lilnnāsi lalladhī bibakkata mubārakan wahudan lil'ʿālamīn
The meaning of the ayah
Indeed, the first House [of worship] established for mankind was that at Bakkah [i.e., Makkah] - blessed and a guidance for the worlds.
