وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌۢ ٤
Surah Al-Ikhlas · Ayah 4without Ghunnah
Idgham: the noon merges into the next letter
When Noon Sakinah or Tanween is followed by a letter of “يرملون” at the start of the next word, the noon merges into it: with Ghunnah for ي ن م و, and without Ghunnah for ل ر. Idgham happens only between two words.
The word “يَرْمَلُونَ” (yarmaloon) holds all six letters, and “ينمو” holds the ones with Ghunnah.
